Our journey of faith, culture, and community celebration
Melbourne Ganesh Utsav began in 2005 as a small community gathering of devoted families seeking to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in their new home. What started as an intimate puja ceremony has blossomed into one of Melbourne's most vibrant cultural festivals.
Over the years, we have grown from a handful of families to a community of thousands, coming together to celebrate the birth of Lord Ganesha - the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom and new beginnings.
To preserve and promote Hindu cultural heritage while fostering community harmony through the celebration of Ganesh Utsav.
To create an inclusive platform where people of all backgrounds can experience the joy, spirituality, and cultural richness of Indian traditions.
